I never reviewed this when I first saw it back in 2024, but I definitely enjoyed it at the time and I enjoyed it again when I watched it due to Aaron Pierre’s perfect portrayal of John Stewart in the current “Lanterns” show. Here in Rebel Ridge he plays a modern day John Rambo, just passing through a small town with a very small bit of business to do while he there, but is instead pulled into the orbit of some rather unsavory police officers that don’t know who this guy really is and what’s in store for them if they push him too far.
It’s honestly a great movie in the same vein as First Blood and I highly suggest it, especially if you’re enjoying the actor in the Green Lantern show.
