“Zack Snyder’s Justice League” Review

Directed by Zack Snyder. With Henry Cavill, Ben Affleck, Gal Gadot, Amy Adams. Zack Snyder’s definitive director’s cut of Justice League. Determined to ensure Superman’s ultimate sacrifice was not in vain, Bruce Wayne aligns forces with Diana Prince with plans to recruit a team of metahumans to protect the world from an approaching threat of catastrophic proportions.

This a four hour movie. It should have been a 4 episode mini series.

It’s also a 4:3 ratio film, which honest sucks. It sucks in a few ways, the most of worst way is that it doesn’t even take up my entire 65 inch oled screen, it’s like 2/3 of the screen, so it feels like I wasted my money on a big tv.

On the subject of why it’s a 4 hour film, this is a Zack Snyder film, so of course there’s slow motion, then there’s slow motion followed by music, then there’s slow motion followed by singing women, then there’s slow motion followed by talking, and then slow motion in the rain, so a 3 hour movie gets turned into a four hour movie real quick.

honestly there’s a lot to complain about, but the answer to the question of “was it worth signing back up for HBO max to watch this at home” is “sure, if you’re ok with pausing it every couple hours to go pee”, which is a great point to make about the WB at home program they’ve decided on.
