Corey Feldman voiced one of turtles, which I’m not sure I knew or not, but now I do, and so do you! I do love this movie, it has a particularly strong source of nostalgia for me, it was the first and only film I have any memory of watching at a drive in theater, and the turtles really took off right as I was getting into consumerism on a personal level. I owned a significant number of the action figures, though oddly enough never did get into the comics themselves. I do find it hilarious how obvious a couple of the product placements are (burger king meal sitting in a 30 second spot with all the labels out and “Critters” getting liberal placement as well) and I’m flummoxed as to what The Shredder’s ultimate plan was with his gang of delinquent petty thieves. Was he going to take over America one used TV at a time? As a ten year old comic book fan, sure muggings by ninjas in deserted subway stations seemed like a serious worry while in NYC, but as an adult I can see how hilariously unlikely the Foot Clan truly is.
