When CIA analyst Jack Ryan stumbles upon a suspicious series of bank transfers his search for answers pulls him from the safety of his desk job and catapults him into a deadly game of cat and mouse throughout Europe and the Middle East, with a rising terrorist figurehead preparing for a massive attack against the US and her allies.

Fantastic series, John Krasinski is really killing it this year. The title of the series is actually just “Tom Clancy’s Jack Ryan”, but Amazon would love you to think that it’s one of their Prime originals, but alas, Paramount helped the whole thing come together, and it really shows that they had someone with experience putting this whole thing together. It’s only 8 episodes long, which is a perfect length for the story that they’re telling.

I look forward to season 2 or whatever we’re calling these now, they’re coming out too quickly to be called seasons and have definitive stories in them, I think Agents of SHIELD is calling them “pods”, but that just feels too much like I’m referring to a family of whales.
